2021 Halliday Wine Companion reviews Georgie Orbach wines
We're very pleased with this years reviews in the 2021 Halliday Wine Companion. Here's what they had to say about our wines:
2021 JAMES HALLIDAY WINE COMPANION
Shows some varietal character and has a little more structure than the shiraz in this range. It's decent entry-level drinking. |
---|---|
Georgie Orbach 2018 Chardonnay Riverina A ripe and quite flavoursome style which seems like it's going to develop quickly. It's not bad value in a basic drink-now way. |
Georgie Orbach 2017 Merlot Riverina Some sweetness will appeal to the target market. |
More grigio than gris stylistically, but at this price who cares? Poolside ‘thrills with a chill' sort of lightweight, green apple to guava-scented easy going wine. |
Georgie Orbach 2019 Rose Riverina A blend of equal parts sangiovese and pinot noir. An attractive tangerine-salmon hue. A feather-weight, dry palate reels off faint scents of red berry, cumquat and candied orange zest. A plume of acidity sweeps up the tail. |
Georgie Orbach 2019 Rose Riverina The price says it all (almost). Some cherry fruit and a trace of savoury notes. Value++. |
Georgie Orbach 2018 Sauvignon Blanc Riverina Does have some tropical fruit flavour. |
Georgie Orbach 2017 Shiraz Riverina A pleasant bouquet with berry fruit and spice aromas. Soft palate with simple flavours that finish a bit short, but clean and fresh. |
